Course Overview
The purpose of the course is to introduce students to the project management process as practiced in industry while allowing students to exercise their technical skills and knowledge. With guidance from the instructor, students plan, manage, design, implement and test a project of their own choosing. The course encourages students to exercise soft skills such as teamwork, time management and verbal and written communications. At the end of the term each student is required to produce a formal report. In addition, each member of a project team is required to participate in a functional demonstration and oral presentation about the project.
