Course Overview
This webinar introduces rating systems used for sustainability assessment of buildings and sites. Particular emphasis is given to comparing the strengths and weaknesses of each system in response to sustainability principles of ecological limits, social justice, and economic prosperity. Internationally recognized building rating systems will be covered including: LEED, BREEAM, CASBEE, Green Star, Green Globes, Living Building Challenge, Passive House and Energy Star. A comparison of the theoretical underpinnings that support these systems, their goals, and implications for sustainability outcomes will be presented.

- Working experience in the building design or construction industry is recommended.
