Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Perform an instrument peg test to determine instrument error.
- Perform both loop and connecting differential leveling circuits.
- Perform detail topographic leveling using intermediate foresights.
- Record and reduce level field notes.
- Perform adjustment of level circuits.
- Calculate grades from level readings.
- Measure invert elevations.
- Calculate drainage pipeline cut depths.
- Calculate earthwork volumes using grid method.
- Perform calculations and and carry out field work to layout a given elevation.
- Measure inverted rod readings as part of a level circuit to determine overhead heights.
