Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Calculate beam deflections under general loading conditions.
- Establish the stability and determinacy of a structure.
- Qualitatively evaluate the structural response of beams and frames.
- Perform approximate structural analysis of statically indeterminate trusses, beams and frames.
- Determine support reactions and internal forces for statically indeterminate beams and frames using the Method of Consistent Deformations.
Effective as of Winter 2006
