A course designed to familiarize you with the function of bearings, seals and gaskets. Activities focus on learning to inspect, test, and adjust gas turbine engine vibration and balance.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain handling and inspection procedures of gears
- Explain the use of seals and gaskets
- Describe the function, handling and inspection of components requiring special care
- Interpret aviation publications and documents
- Perform the disassembly, inspection and assembly of a turbine engine subassembly
- Describe the various anti-stall systems currently in use
- Describe engine anti-ice systems
- Describe starter systems
- Describe ignition systems
- Describe engine instrument systems
- Describe engine fire detection and extinguishing systems
