Course Overview
This course is a continuation of Radiographic Procedures 1, 2 and 3. Students will build on their core knowledge from previous courses and clinical practice. The focus is on specialized examinations such as vascular interventions, bone mineral densitometry, reproductive studies, specialty OR orthopedics, trauma radiography and vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Adapt procedural explanations for patients and support persons according to their capacity to verify understanding.
- In a given scenario, obtain a patient history from patients or support persons and explain how to adapt an imaging protocol in response to findings on an image.
- Advise patients of necessary pre- and post procedure care instructions.
- Describe course of action for patients with contraindications before an examination such as pregnancy.
- Adapt protocol and procedure in response to a patient's condition during an examination.
- Apply corrective measures to improve image quality (diagnostic and technical) when necessary.
- Recognize and respond to conditions requiring urgent action.
- Evaluate results to determine if further images are required.
- Recognize normal, variant and abnormal results for specialized procedures.
- Given a scenario, describe how to prepare a patient and plan and adapt for an imaging procedure based on patient's condition and clinical environment.
- Describe fundamentals of advanced and emerging procedures and techniques
