Course Overview
This is an applied course on the concepts and techniques of quantitative methods for business analysis and decision-making. The course provides a modern and practical framework for applying business statistics and financial modelling to solve real-world business problems including: forecasting, hypothesis testing, choice models, optimization, regression modelling, and break-even analysis. Concepts introduced in this course will have an emphasis on their application on real world examples. Students will use spreadsheets and add-ins to extend the capabilities of traditional business analysis. By the end of the course, students will have an understanding of methods and their application through practical experience with software tools required for analyzing data and guiding sound decision-making.
