Course Overview
Primarily intended for preparation of the final report for the Industry Sponsored Project, this course will provide the basis and format for all technical reports required in the program. Emphasis will be placed on the overall structure, organization of information and the logical progression of concepts. This course should be completed during the Common Core portion of the program.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Write a professional report using the format and style that meets Industry and BCIT Environmental Engineering Technology standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in interpreting technical concepts in writing.
- Analyze audience and purpose accurately.
- Develop a strategic writing plan for specific situations.
- Use clear and concise language in appropriate technical style.
- Format and structure information into appropriate segments of a technical report.
- Integrate argumentative methodologies into technical documents.
- Demonstrate thorough research and literature review technologies.
- Document research sources in a manner consistent with accepted practices.
