Course Overview
Designed for managers, developers and building owners, this course will contrast stipulated sum, construction management, design-build and public-private partnership methods for the construction of new projects. Presentations will also outline the funding and design decisions for viable projects.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Assess the impact on project performance and success that is due to the delivery method used on a project, its timing and its crucial elements.
- Identify the responsibilities and risks for the Design-bid-build, Construction Management, and Design-Build delivery methods and correlate these to suitable projects.
- Work in the context of the inter-relationships between the owner, the prime consultant, and design professional for different project delivery methods; this includes technical and management responsibilities and minimizing of potential conflicts of interest.
- Establish methods to achieve readiness for project construction under each delivery method, and the role of managers and professionals in achieving a product of the specified quality.
- Compare delivery methods by featuring their risks, responsiblities, quality and conflict management, and hence recommend methods best suited to specific situations.
- Assist in delivery method selection for public and private sector projects.
