This course will enable the student to understand the processes involved in successful management of a project in the context as an Architectural Technologist in an architectural firm. The student will be able to apply goal seeking strategies and overcome impediments in the daily routine of practice management.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand the inherent components between design theory and construction practice.
- Balance the management of design, practice and projects.
- Set realistic project and practice goals.
- Achieve project goals by overcoming impediments and apply quality assurance techniques.
- Establish key factors in successful project delivery as they relate to design, strategy, fees, resource management, scheduling, costs, quality management, building science, construction, consultant coordination, and client satisfaction.
- Apply project management theory and skills in monitoring the progress of a project as it relates to proposed project budgets and historical tracking systems.
- Identify potential challenges and make appropriate choices throughout a project relating to team practices, accounting, scheduling, project stakeholders, risk management, technology and construction.
