Course Overview
Are you comfortable with your voice and now ready to work towards completing your voice demo? Do you want to practice and to gain reliable techniques that will enhance all of your presentations and performances? This course provides more in-depth training and exploration of professional voiceover essentials. When completed, you will be well on your way to completing a professional voice-over demo and searching for work. Each class consists of group work and individual practice, with instructor/student one-to-one time to address individual strengths and challenges. You will utilize multiple vocal techniques and exercises to voice any commercial or narrative – including documentary and animation roles – as well as speak in front of any group with confidence.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Paraphrase ideal conditions for a healthy voice.
- Identify and warm-up the many different vocal resonators.
- Discover the most interesting way to deliver the copy.
- Carry out repeat performances under pressure.
- Demonstrate the skill to play with subtexts/thoughts/emotions under the words.
- Practice professional studio etiquette.
- Successfully interpret and apply direction in a studio environment.
- Speak in front of a large crowd or studio audience with ease.
- Assess whether you have captured and maintained the attention of the audience.
- Assemble and refine appropriate scripts for a demo.
- Recognize and successfully perform animation scripts.
- Apply marketing and networking techniques to gain experience/employment.
- Identify and practice specific areas for further personal development.
