Course Overview

This course is designed to help students develop the professional attributes needed to be a successful teacher in BC middle and high schools. Faculty will meet with each student to assess and discuss their current proficiency with the professional attributes needed to be a successful teacher and offer suggestions for continued growth.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Identify the attributes needed for successful teaching
Reflect on personal practice and behaviours as they relate to the stipulated attributes
Act on advice provided by faculty
Approach or meet the expectations in the professional attributes rubric used in this course
