Course Overview
This course is a work experience practicum with a licensed security company. Over four weeks (totalling 160 hours), students will work alongside a qualified technician and have exposure to a typical month as an installer/technician. The final week students return to the classroom for 30 hours to prepare for the qualification exam for the trade of Security Systems Technician.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Install, maintain and repair security systems
- Communicate with other technicians and other trades
- Summarize and report on weekly activities
- Pass a sample C of Q exam
