Course Overview
This course guides students through the operation and coordination of the post-production phase of video and television projects. Students will learn a variety of post-production concepts that are broader than non-linear editing tasks. They will learn to colour correct video images to attain a desired look to set the mood or tell the story. Students will also learn how to prepare video productions for other phases of post-production such as audio mastering and visual effects and how to receive finished materials for inclusion in their projects.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Create a post-production workflow to meet project deadlines based on specified technical deliverables and available resources.
- Conform a HD master output of a student project to meet specified technical delivery.
- Export audio for mastering in a non-linear editing environment, and perform a layback of the finished soundtrack.
- Perform basic colour correction to match video levels and colours between camera shots/scenes.
- Perform advanced colour correction (windows) to highlight objects and characters.
- Utilize colour correction tools and techniques to achieve a mood or look that services the story.
- Create and apply keys and mattes to selectively modify or enhance video images.
