Enables the student to demonstrate their ability in all major aspects of on-the-job oral communication, from informal face-to-face exchanges to formal speeches. It will explain the techniques and strategies the student will need to communicate effectively in all situations.

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
Module 1 - Oral Presentations
- Plan for a presentation by analysing your audience, objectives and setting.
- Organize the body of the presentation.
- Develop strong openings and closings.
- Use effective delivery techniques.
- Create and use visual aids effectively.
- Respond professionally to questions from the audience.
- Deal effectively with disruption.
Module 2 - Public Relations
- Define your public relations goals.
- Develop responses that will help you reach those goals.
- Respond effectively to questions and comments.
- Deal successfully with hostile and difficult questions or comments.
- Deal effectively with the media.
Module 3 - Meeting Skills
- Plan a meeting effectively.
- Present your ideas clearly and persuasively at a meeting.
- Structure and control discussion.
- Bring a meeting to a successful close.
- Keep effective minutes of a meeting.
