This course will provide hands-on experience of actual operating equipment on a small scale. Previous courses will have covered the theory supporting the equipment.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- List the three main categories of compressors and give two examples of each.
- Given operating requirements, choose an appropriate compressor.
- Describe surging in a centrifugal compressor and its consequences.
- Suggest an inspection program for compressors.
- Describe the operations of a gas absorption unit.
- Operate a dew point tester.
- Operate a compressor.
- Run a corrosion experiment to demonstrate the effects of corrosion.
