Course Overview
The purpose of this clinical course is to give students an opportunity to pursue a particular area of interest in Occupational Health Nursing. The learning intentions, activities, and evaluation strategies for the course will be determined by the student and the course tutor using a learning contract. The learning contract will draw on the content and process threads of the OHN curriculum framework.

Learning Outcomes
As licensed health care practitioners, all learners will practice in accordance with professional standards of practice throughout the course. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Extend their knowledge and skill related to one or more of the key areas of occupational health nursing practice:
- Identification, evaluation and control of workplace hazards
- Occupational heal nursing practice
- Health surveillance
- Assessment, care and case management of injuries and illnesses
- Health, safety and wellness promotion and management
