Course Overview
This workshop is for individuals working in the area of sexual violence. The process of being a witness is discussed in the morning session and a demonstration of court process and testifying is conducted in the afternoon in an actual court room. Forensic nurse examiners, sexual assault nurse examiners, physician examiners and others who may testify in court as either a fact or expert witness in cases of sexual violence will find it very beneficial to attend.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Explain the court process involved in a criminal court proceedings in charges of sexual violence.
- Define the attributes of a good court witness.
- Participate in a court testimony demonstration in an actual court room setting.
