Course Overview
In this course you will explore the basic principles of developing a marketing campaign for a nonprofit organization. You will have the opportunity to define your own organization's market niche and to develop a marketing plan and multimedia campaign tailored to your own organization.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Define the elements of an effective marketing strategy.
- Explain target audience behaviour.
- Differentiate between marketing and fundraising.
- Describe strategies for acquiring marketing information, such as focus groups, surveys etc.
- Analyze market survey information to determine the best marketing strategy to use for a given organization.
- Describe the impact of a powerful "brand."
- Explain how effective marketing supports achievement of the organization's financial goals.
- Describe strategies for promoting a nonprofit organization in the media.
- Create a multimedia (e.g. print, TV, web etc.) marketing campaign for a nonprofit organization.
