Course Overview
This course will be focused on sectors and industries that are key to B.C.'s economy. This course provides an opportunity to explore various industries and sectors. Particular focus will be on the growing industry sectors in BC. Students will gain an in-depth knowledge on BC Industries through research and contact with industry associations and networking opportunities. The role of the manager will be examined within each of the industry sectors. Projects could also include specific areas of interest such as sustainability or globalization.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the profile of business in BC by industry
- Assess secondary research on a specific industry in BC
- Conduct an informational interview and network with professionals in industry
- Analysis of an industry to identify key issues in that industry
- Identify employment trends within the industry
- Demonstrate the application of sustainability within a specific industry
