Course Overview
Prepares participants for successful entry into the warehousing industry. Students will learn to operate mobile equipment used in warehousing including forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks and pallet jacks. Provides a basic understanding of warehouse operations with emphasis on shipping, receiving and order picking procedures. Covers workplace hazardous materials identification systems (WHMIS). On successful completion, students will have a working knowledge of basic warehouse operations and the ability to operate material-handling mobile equipment within WCB guidelines and CSA standards.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will:
- Be able to safely operate electric lift trucks, (Class 1, 2 & 3);
- Be able to safely operate sit-down counterbalance lift trucks, (Class 4 & 5);
- Understand the basic operation of a warehouse;
- Understand how WHMIS works; and,
- Be prepared to be a reliable employee.
