Course Overview
This course introduces the learner to the definition of law and its governing bodies, through to the elements and procedures of law enforcement within a park environment. Topics include code and statute offences common to BC Parks; authorities and powers within the park; duties and responsibilities of park enforcement officers; gathering evidence; investigative techniques required for collecting statements; techniques in preventative law; emergency preparedness; and administration and reporting procedures. Note: This course, which is only available to students in a registered college or university program, is the equivalent of PRKS 3110 and PRKS 3120.
