Course Overview
The course provides students with the necessary skills to identify, safely use and maintain basic hand tools. The course also introduces students to the use and proper maintenance of fasteners, how to identify safety hazards associated with the operation of drill press and power saw.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Describe and use basic mechanic's hand tools.
- Identify fasteners.
- Identify internal and external threads.
- Use layout tools and procedures.
- Use dimensional measurements.
- Use a drill press.
- Use a hand tap.
- Identify safety hazards associated with the operation of drill press and power saw.
