This course Introduces students to digital manufacturing with wood and digital project delivery. Includes the basic principles of construction modelling for mass timber construction.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe digital project delivery in the context of mass timber construction.
- Explain usage and particularities of each construction model as it pertains to builders /installers/ construction managers /cost estimators.
- Explain basic interface options between models.
- Define the role and goals of BIM in construction projects.
- Define the role and goals of DfMA in construction projects.
- Explain the value of simulations.
- Identify types of data sharing.
- Describe pro/cons of each type of data sharing.
- Describe analyses: clash detection , constructability analysis, clearance detection.
