Course Overview
Provides an introduction to the creation and management of projects and associated drawings using Land Desktop software. Topics include point object basics, labeling, description keys, point groups, horizontal alignment, parcel definition and terrain modelling.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Use Land Desktop commands to re-create a survey plan.
- Demonstrate line, arc and circle drawing commands.
- Calculate a map distance given a ground distance.
- Calculate a ground distance using a map distance.
- List the steps to create an LDD project.
- Create a prototype drawing.
- Create points.
- Adjust point display settings.
- Inserting additional points into a drawing.
- Edit point data.
- Create point reports.
- Draw lines and arcs using Land Desktop commands.
- Create horizontal alignments.
- Annotate horizontal alignments, lines and arcs.
- Subdivide land using a variety of methods.
- Create a surface.
- Manage the surface.
- Analyse the surface.
