Course Overview
In this course students apply learned skills in a relevant external fieldwork environment (industry). They will work under the direction of a workplace mentor at a media related organization, where they may actively participate in the various aspects of day to day operations or specialize in specific areas of interest, related to the program.

- This course requires approval from the Broadcast and Online Journalism Program Head and School of Business International Programs Coordinator.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Actively participate in a media company's day-to-day operation according to industry standards.
- Solve common problems and respond to day-to-day challenges working both independently and in collaboration with others.
- Contribute effectively to the attainment of entrepreneurial goals.
- Communicate effectively as a team member.
- Take direction from supervisors and show initiative in the work place.
- Apply a multitude of skills effectively, appropriate to the demands of the given tasks, timelines and workplace environment.
- Use technology effectively to produce and deliver content across various platforms.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion while conforming to relevant policy and regulations.
