Course Overview
In this course, students apply learned information technology skills in a relevant external industry environment. They spend 15 weeks working part-time under the direction of a workplace supervisor in an information technology role within an external organization. There they actively participate in the various aspects of day to day operations that are related to the CIT program.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Actively participate in a company’s day-to-day information technology operations according to industry standards.
- Solve common problems and respond to day-to-day challenges working both independently and in collaboration with others.
- Communicate effectively as a team member.
- Take direction from supervisors and show initiative in the work place
- Apply a multitude of skills effectively, appropriate to the demands of the given tasks, timelines and workplace environment.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion while conforming to relevant policy and regulations.
