Course Overview
G.E.T.T. Camps introduce girls from grade 6 to 8 to trades and technologies in a fun and supportive atmosphere. The girls work in pairs with hands-on opportunities in the design and construction of a push wooden go-cart. Students will learn the safe use of hand and power tools during the building of the go-cart as well manual and computer design skills. At the end of the week, the girls will race their go-cart along with the other students. Instruction will be provided by a Technology Education Teacher. Subsidies are available to persons in need.
