Construction Management - CMGT Course

Course details

Contaminated site issues impact on both the contractor and the owner. Common surface and sub-surface contaminants and their migration patterns will be reviewed together with current legislation. Issues relating to liability, risk, hazards and toxicity will be discussed. A section on the historical use of sites will conclude the course.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:

  • Understand general environmental terminology.
  • Understand the direction environmental regulations are heading.
  • Assess when environmental issues are important and know what steps to take to mitigate negative impacts.
