Course Overview
This is a universal English assessment for part-time studies communication courses at BCIT. All students wishing to take COMM 1103, COMM 1106, COMM 1120, COMM 2202, COMM 2203, or COMM 2320 must write this assessment. The computer-based assessment is to provide information about an individual's competency in English. The assessment consists of three parts: reading comprehension, sentence structure, and written composition. There are no sample tests or study guides available. However, several texts in both grammar and composition are available at most libraries. Note: Students who have completed a BCIT Full-Time Level 1 or Level 2 COMM course may be exempt from the COMM 0025 requirement and should email ECA@bcit.ca to receive registration approval. All other students must complete COMM 0025. The COMM 0025 assessment fee is non-refundable.
