Course Overview
This course introduces students to the basic attitudes and skills for effective communication, including a discussion of relevant business practices, in an automotive shop or business. Written and oral skills to produce a job package prepare students for successful employment, together with an explanation of the automotive service technician apprenticeship process. This course prepares students to successfully write the Automotive Service Technician Standardized Level Exam (SLE) examination, Level 1. This course is equivalent to the AUTO 1501 Employability Skills course in the Automotive Technician Program.
