Course Overview
This is a hands-on course which introduces students to the fundamentals of writing and posting digital news articles. A combination of lecture/lab, students will learn by publishing content to a live website. Topics explored include: structuring a compelling news article, writing headlines to capture readers' interest, turning a news release into an engaging story, posting creative, captivating photos to enhance story-telling, making your content stand out in the digital landscape and an introduction to the basic concepts of SEO – search engine optimization.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
