Course Overview
Learn the basics of documentary production using the latest in digital technology. This 12 week course is ideally suited for individuals who want a solid foundation in the theories of visual story telling as well as hands on experience in the world of video production. All aspects of the documentary are coverd from concept to distribution.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Define the heart of a documentary and understand the issues the filmmaker must consider when making a documentary.
- Understand the history and evolution leading to the construct of the modern documentary.
- Know the roles and responsibilities of the documentary team and the stages of production they go through.
- Appreciate the legal, business and marketing requirements of documentary production.
