Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Develop effective public speaking skills by delivering oral presentations (individual and team) to audiences of diverse sizes.
  • Describe current issues affecting real estate professionals.
  • Explain several current issues facing the real estate industry and real estate organizations.
  • Access a wide range of sources for business news and interpret current events that impact real estate professionals.
  • Discuss the key technologies that support sales efforts.
  • Evaluate and apply technologies available for time planning, organization and self-management.
  • Expand online business networking using LinkedIn.
  • Implement business profiling skills in preparation for employment interviews.
  • Apply a variety of communication skills during the employment interview.
  • Discuss the newest training and techniques offered to real estate professionals by leading real estate trainers, authors and professional speakers.
  • Describe the latest value-creation methods for real estate professionals.
  • Apply telephone communication techniques to a variety of cold-calling and selling situations.
