Course Overview
This course introduces investigative techniques involving computers. It covers the methods by which computer crime is committed, and the criminal code of offences and other statutes involved in those actions. Emphasis is on the proper identification of relevant evidence and securing, analyzing and presenting that evidence in court.

Learning Outcomes
This course introduces investigative techniques involving computers. - Describe criminal code offences involving computers.
- Choose an appropriate and effective method of examining the computer to locate evidence.
- Identify evidence located on a computer and relate it to the overall investigation.
- Secure evidence from the computer in a manner that it can be preserved and its credibility established for court purposes.
- Analyse the evidence once secured and prepare it for court presentation.
