Course Overview
Throughout this course students will work through a comprehensive project, applying design theories and processes to create a solution to a given design problem. Students will translate and implement their concept and design development into working drawings by completing a set of interior construction drawings. Students will research and explore design concepts to produce a creative solution to a design program that supports human behaviour within the built environment. Students will provide solutions that respond to human factors such as health, life safety, and welfare, as well as functional and aesthetic considerations. Students will demonstrate the ability to work through the design process to create a unique, innovative working design solution to address conceptual and spatial analysis. Presentations will take place during the course and may involve on-line discussions.
