Provides student with colour theory, practical work and characteristics of lamps including practical application implementing reflected ceiling plans.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion, the student will be able to:
- Co-ordinate colours and materials for a given space.
- Identify the different values of a given hue.
- Analyse the differences between tints, tones and shades.
- Write a concept statement pertaining to a colour scheme.
- Analyse colour through experimentation, observation and evaluation.
- Analyse contemporary design projects with respect to colour theory and its application.
- Describe the additive and subtractive colour wheel and the colour relationships.
- Explain the scientific, historical, aesthetic and psychological aspects of colour.
- Define lamp characteristics.
- Produce a reflected ceiling plan and fixture schedule.
- Evaluate character/mood created by the lighting in a space.
