Course details

​This course surveys career and professional opportunities that advance climate action, connecting the dots between leading change and navigating the job market. Learners apply their theory of change and climate leadership knowledge to define career goals, evaluate job postings, and screen opportunities for values alignment. They will also hone their workforce readiness skills, crafting a professional portfolio and honing in on their unique climate story, as well as identifying opportunities for ongoing skill and career development. ​​

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • Articulate a personal theory of change and identify focus areas for career development.
  • Research and identify climate career and job opportunities.
  • Develop a professional portfolio, including resume and LinkedIn, to clearly communicate goals and interests.
  • Demonstrate climate workforce readiness skills including interpersonal communication, networking, and career planning. ​
