Course Overview
This class will prepare students to challenge the CWB welding supervisor's examination by studying CSA codes W47.1 and W59, welding symbols, quality control techniques, weld faults, and welder and procedure testing requirements.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the requirements for shop certification, welder testing, and procedure testing.
- Describe the requirements of "pre-qualification" and inspection of a welded product.
- Explain weld symbols, weld faults and how to identify and prevent them.
- Describe quality control practices related to welding and common inspection methods.
- Prepare and read welding procedure data sheets and use them in a welding shop.
- Write and pass the CWB welding supervisor's examination.
