Course Overview
Begins with a brief review of MS Excel concepts covered in introductory computer application courses. From there, the course moves on to more advanced Excel commands and applications (larger and more professional worksheets). Topics include "What if??" modeling, built-in functions, and linked worksheets. Subject to the time available, additional topics will be included. Emphasis is on problem solving, effective spreadsheet design and testing, protection measures, and business applications relevant to the student's program of studies.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Use correct terminology for spreadsheet applications.
- Solve financial/business problems using related functions.
- Organize data lists using filters and pivot tables.
- Use statistical functions to describe data.
- Use MS Excel to create and manipulate simple financial models.
