Course details

Drawing on the knowledge gained in the previous courses, students will assume the role of the Business Analytics Professional in a real-world Industry Project. Students are encouraged to develop the project proposal from their particular sector, and will develop the project from proposal to completion, working closely with the Faculty advisor and their Industry stakeholder. Students will apply their Business Analytics skill set to the solution of the Industry Project. Evaluation will be based on application and integration of Business Analytics to the solution.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • Develop a formal Project Proposal including using business analytics methodologies.
  • Present initial research findings to peers and Industry stakeholders.
  • Communicate analysis results effectively to specify the solution proposed.
  • Provide a real-world industry solution using business analytics.
  • Develop and produce a written analysis of an Industry Project.
  • Present findings and clearly communicate conclusions to peers and Industry stakeholders.
  • Effectively identify a business need, perform appropriate research and analysis, and package the results in industry standard reporting formats.
  • Plan, manage, and execute a business analytics project.
