Course Overview
This introductory course on Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) will provide students with a basic understanding of the history, uses, and regulatory requirements set out by Transport Canada for safe and legal RPAS use. Evaluation includes discussion, a case study and examination.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Outline the history of RPAS use and regulations in Canada.
- Describe common private and commercial applications of RPAS in Canada.
- List the regulatory requirements for operating a RPAS as described by Transport Canada, including relevant air law, systems, human factors, meteorological rules, navigation, operation, theory and radiotelephony.
