Course Overview
This course introduces you to the administrative skills, knowledge, and practice necessary to contribute to the operation of an efficient shop. You will also learn the skills to represent your employers effectively in a positive and professional manner to the consumer. Areas of study include staff responsibilities/roles within a service facility, service department operations, forms and procedures, diagnostic process, and information systems utilization.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- Define the responsibilities/roles of employees within a service facility.
- Use various business forms.
- Complete a repair order and estimate the cost of repairs.
- Assist the service consultant at the service counter.
- Describe the diagnostic procedure.
- Describe technician’s pay plans and team concepts.
- Describe service operations.
- Compile the elements of a policy and procedure manual.
- Participate in an automotive service clinic.
