Course Overview
Silviculture surveys will be emphasized in Applied Silviculture 1 and include plantability, stocking, brushing, and free-growing. This course, in combination with appropriate work experience, will prepare students to successfully accomplish the Province of B.C. Silvicultural Surveyor Accreditation exam.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Use appropriate reference material to independently plan, perform and report the following surveys in accordance with standardized British Columbia Ministry of Forests procedures:
- Stocking survey.
- Plantability survey.
- Brushing survey.
- Free-growing survey.
