Course Overview
This course builds on material from SRMT 3700 (Applied Forest Measurements), reinforcing the essential measurement skills and principles for the evaluation of raw logs. The course advances student skills as they apply measurement and assessment procedures of the Provincial Log Scaling system and will prepare graduates to work with a licensed scaler if desired. The course reinforces the importance of assessing quality and value in raw logs and the value added processes in current markets. The course reinforces the sampling and measurement principles and skills required of a technologist to practice in the professionally regulated revenue risk B.C appraisal system.
