Participants do not need to be object-oriented programmers however they should have significant experience using mobile apps. Students will design and develop web-based, native and hybrid mobile applications using jQuery Mobile, Android Studio, Apache Cordova, and other tools. Labs and exercises focus on how to implement entry level, mobile applications for Android and other mobile web platforms. Topics include a comparison of native, hybrid and web based mobile technologies. Starting with the fundamentals of web-based mobile applications, Android Studio and Apache Cordova are used to implement web-based, native, and cross-platform mobile solutions.
