This course introduces policies, standards and operational procedures required to effectively maintain airport facilities, systems and infrastructure. Evaluation includes a group report and examination.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the development of airside maintenance programs to maintain a safe operating environment.
- Describe the maintenance tasks and schedules required to maintain the visual aid system.
- Describe how to maintain paved and unpaved areas of an airport.
- Describe the requirements to ensure a safe and efficient clearance of snow and ice from airport surfaces.
- Describe the use and selection of rotary ploughs, displacement ploughs, material spreaders and other types of airfield maintenance equipment.
- Describe how to plan and schedule maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Apply regulations supporting airside facilities and services as per CARS Part III and TP 312E (4th edition and/or 5th edition) in a case or scenario situation.
