Course Overview
Building on the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2, students will work individually and in small groups to identify, research, pitch and produce original investigative multimedia news stories for online distribution. Students will apply equity, diversity, and inclusion principles when working with marginalized communities. They will also learn to use culturally sensitive and trauma-informed reporting practices.

- Successful completion of all other Level 1 and Level 2 courses in the Journalism program.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Research and produce original investigative news reporting projects.
- Apply reporting skills when gathering information and conducting interviews.
- Use critical news judgment to determine ethical issues and news value.
- Use advanced digital journalism skills, including online research and multimedia content creation, to produce digital stories.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safe, trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive reporting practices when working with marginalized communities.
