Do your part in keeping the campus a safe place for everyone by following our safety guidelines.
Vehicle Safety
- Adhere to all campus speed limits and obey all road signage.
- Drive on designated roadways and do NOT use restricted routes designated for service vehicles and pedestrians.
- BCIT is a pedestrian and bike-friendly campus, so make sure to yield, especially at crosswalks and when turning at intersections.
- Take extra care when driving in parking lots and watch for pedestrians. Roadways run through several parking lots on campus, so take extra care and obey speed limits.
- Drive to the conditions, winter has poor visibility, so exercise care.
- Don’t drive distracted. Leave your phone and other electronic devices alone.
- BCIT has several active construction sites. Take extra care in these areas, watch out for construction workers and vehicles, and obey any temporary directions.
