Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm

- Connect with the Student Life Ambassadors and other students.
- Grab a free hot drink or treat.
- Learn about the free and confidential supports available to all students.
- Spread kindness.
Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 when a group of students in Nova Scotia, Canada rallied against bullying. This day is now acknowledged annually across the globe inspiring more acts of kindness, including here at BCIT. We encourage you to learn more about BCIT Respect Diversity and Inclusion supported initiatives and events, including Pride.
Other Pink Shirt Day Initiatives and Events at BCIT Include:
- All BCIT students, staff, and faculty who are wearing a pink shirt on February 26 are invited to be in the annual BCIT Pink Shirt Day photo. The Burnaby campus photo will be taken on the main floor of NW4 at 11:30. The Aerospace campus photo will be taken on the hanger. Connect with the administration office to confirm Aerospace details including time.
- Recreation Services are hosting ribbons of kindness. Connect with Recreation Services to learn more.
- Button making at the Burnaby Campus Library on February 26. Connect with Library Services to learn more.
- The Pride Committee will be present in the Library on February 26. Connect with Library Services or the Pride Committee to learn more.
- The Student Association will host an activity or initiative in SE2 on February 26.
- Global Relations will be hosting a booth featuring trivia and games on February 26 in SE6. Connect with BCIT’s Global Relations Team to learn more.
